Sustainability Professional Skills Coach

Salary: £40 - 45k + excellent benefits

Full time, hybrid working

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Sustainability Professional to join our growing team as a Skills Coach. You will have the opportunity to genuinely change apprentice’s lives byshaping, creating and delivering the learning content for our Sustainability Professional apprenticeship programme, underpinned by the Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability Practitioner apprenticeship standard.

The Sustainability Professional programme includes environmental and social sustainability, diversity, inclusion and social impact learning and is assessed under the Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability Practitioner apprenticeship.

The role will be predominantly remote with at least one day a month at our South London office.

Responsibilities include:

  • Support your apprentices through the learning journey and deliver an outstanding learner experience through effective coaching and mentoring.
  • Ensure your apprentices are on track to complete their apprenticeship.
  • Deliver regular progress reviews and check ins for all apprentices and ensure that employers are up to date with apprentice progress.

  • Help review and deliver the learning content, and delivery model for the apprenticeship programme.
  • Design and facilitate engaging and relevant apprentice training through group sessions including live sessions and in-person development days.
  • Be involved in coordinating the training activities delivered in partnership with our employers and industry experts.
  • Assess your apprentices' work and provide timely and developmental feedback.
  • Manage your scheduled activities to ensure the timely achievement of learners.
  • Comply withany quality proceduresto ensure compliance and best practice.
  • Build strong and lasting relationships with each apprentice and employer you support.
  • Provide additional pastoral support for apprentices as required.

For this role you must have the following:

  • Have worked as a Sustainability Professional either in-house, in a consultancy or agency environment OR have significant experience delivering sustainability subjects in an educational setting.
  • Have a broad understanding of the corporate responsibility and sustainability landscape and the broad range of initiatives that make up a modern sustainability strategy.
  • Experience in either teaching or coaching and a keen interest in developing others.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
  • Strong organisation skills, with the ability to deliver to deadlines and prioritise effectively.
  • Good IT skills, ability to use software and systems such as MS Office, Salesforce and Learner Management Systems.
  • The desire to learn and develop yourself, so that you can add value to the apprenticeship experience of our learners.
  • Knowledge of Apprenticeship Standards and End Point Assessments.
  • A passion to help people start their careers at amazing companies, which inspires you to deliver the best possible training.
  • Ideally hold the Level 3 qualification in Education and Training or equivalent.
