As a Sustainability Officer, you will deliver measurable improvements in the Council's sustainability performance by identifying and implementing projects that reduce carbon emissions, improve energy efficiency, and embed sustainable practices across operations, supporting progress toward the Net Zero 2030 target. Working within the Energy and Sustainability Service, you will play a vital role in translating strategic sustainability goals into practical actions that create real impact for the organisation and its stakeholders.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
As part of the Richmond and Wandsworth Council's general responsibilities and duties, you will help improve services by following best practice standards and policies, including data protection, health and safety, and information security. Promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion is central to the role, as is understanding safeguarding responsibilities for children, young people, and adults. While your main duties are outlined, you may also be asked to support other reasonable tasks, including emergency or priority situations.
Relevant qualifications in environmental science, energy management, sustainability, or a related field.
