Job description

One YMCA delivers high-quality housing services providing intensive wrap-around 24-hour support to individuals living in temporary supported accommodation. Our committed team helps residents adjust to their new environment develop essential life skills and work with external services to identify suitable move-on accommodation.

About the Role

We are seeking a Young Persons Casual Supported Housing Officer to provide flexible cover during evenings weekends and bank holidays.

You will
  • Support the smooth running of our housing projects ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for residents.
  • Promote independence positive outcomes and active engagement in support plans.
  • Respond to resident needs maintaining project standards and upholding One YMCAs values.
  • Assist clients to attend community appointments budget effectively and manage housing benefit or Universal Credit issues.
  • Encourage residents to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
  • Meet regularly with your caseload to provide tailored person-centred support.

One YMCA and its subsidiaries the Early Childhood Partnership (ECP) and Signpost are on an exciting journey to double our impact by 2025.   • Domestic abuse perpetrator reform programmes across Bedfordshire
  • Youth services offering emotional wellbeing support and youth club opportunities for 11-19 year olds alongside our National Airplay programme funded by the RAF Benevolent Fund
