Overview

We're on the hunt for genuinely caring, hands‑on female or male Support Workers with a passion for enhancing the quality of life of the people we support. As a support worker with us you’ll help people gain more independence in their daily lives while working within a dynamic team.

Our residential, supported living, nursing, specialist rehabilitation, ABI (Acquired Brain Injury) service and day centre in XXX is a welcoming and friendly environment where no two days are the same. You’ll enhance the lives of the people we support by teaching them new life skills, assisting with personal care, encouraging engagement with local communities and organising social and recreational activities.

Responsibilities

You will support individuals to grow in confidence and independence, helping them achieve personal goals such as making dinner or planning holidays. Your day may include accompanying clients to local bars, pubs, video game rooms, film screenings or cinemas, or facilitating local activities. You will follow Positive Behaviour Support plans, reflect on practice, and work with people requiring enhanced support, including responses to distress behaviours, mental health conditions, autism, forensic histories and trauma.

Qualifications
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Resilient, flexible and composed approach
  • Experience with Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice
  • Experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviours of distress, mental health conditions, autism, forensic histories and trauma
  • All applicants and subsequent job offers will be subject to satisfactory DBS checks and references
  • Some roles may have gender requirements in accordance with the Equality Act 2010
