Support Worker – Supported Living (Mental Health)

Location: Rawtenstall

Contract: Temp to Perm

Shifts: 08:00–20:00 Days / 20:00–08:00 Nights

About the Role

We are recruiting experienced Support Workers to join a supported living service in Rawtenstall, supporting adults with mental health needs, self-harm risks and challenging behaviours.

You’ll be working as part of a committed team providing high-quality, person-centred support that promotes safety, stability and positive outcomes.

What You Will Be Doing

Supporting individuals with mental health needs in a supported living environment

Promoting independence, emotional wellbeing and coping strategies

Managing and de-escalating challenging behaviours appropriately

Providing practical and emotional support, and maintaining professional boundaries

Following care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding requirements

Working collaboratively with the wider care and clinical team

Essential Experience
  • Mental health support
  • Supported living
  • Experience with self-harm
  • Experience managing challenging behaviours
Person Specification
  • Flexible and available throughout the week
  • Mainly day shifts (08:00–20:00), with opportunities for 1–2 night staff (20:00–08:00)
  • Strong character with excellent boundary setting
  • Reliable, resilient and calm under pressure
  • Willing to complete a temp-to-perm agreement
  • Driving licence preferred but not essential
