A support service provider is seeking enthusiastic female support workers in Torquay to assist Cheryl in her journey to increased independence. The role involves providing support with daily activities, budgeting, and sometimes emotional guidance. Candidates should be reliable, flexible, and possess strong communication skills. This position offers competitive pay and benefits such as a pension scheme and ongoing training opportunities.
Cheryl is a very busy lady with a full social life, she loves horse riding and visiting the beach, singing and karaoke and is a member of Rock Choir. She also volunteers at her local homeless charity.
Essential for this job: This position has a ‘genuine occupational requirement’ covered under the Sex Discrimination Act 1975 and therefore only applications from females are requested.
Hours: 15h per week
Cheryl is a very sociable friendly person, she lives in her own house in Torquay and has an established team supporting her. She is very independent and requires very little support around her home but requires some support with budgeting her money. Cheryl needs a couple of support workers to join her team, people who are fun and interested in the same things that she is, but also someone who can introduce her to new things.
She loves to visit new places, she has been to Edinburgh and London and she has a few other places on her list that she would like to visit. At times Cheryl needs some emotional support to keep her on track, she can easily become overwhelmed which leads to her feeling anxious. Mostly though, it’s all about having fun and supporting Cheryl on her journey to increased independence.
