A residential support service in Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking a Project Support Worker to provide a stable environment for residents involved in the criminal justice system. This role involves engaging with residents, supporting their personal development, and maintaining accurate records. Ideal candidates should possess good literacy skills, an understanding of safeguarding, and be able to work varied shifts including evenings and weekends. Candidates will need to be comfortable engaging with male residents who are involved at varying stages in the criminal justice system.
SALARY: £19,640 per annum + Unsocial Hours Payment + Benefits (see below)
LOCATION: Newcastle upon Tyne, North East England (NE4 6) – Fully Site Based
JOB TYPE: Part‑Time, Permanent & Casual Hours Available
PART‑TIME WORKING HOURS: Average 30 Hours per Week on a 7 week rota – additional shifts available on a casual basis
Shifts are primarily afternoon / evening and waking nights. However, there will be some day shifts as part of the rota. The shifts include:

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Project Support Worker either working on a part time permanent or casual basis, providing a stable, supportive and secure environment for adult residents involved in the criminal justice system.
As a Project Support Worker you will engage with residents from arrival through to move‑on, supporting structured activities that encourage reintegration and promote personal development.
Working as a Project Support Worker you will contribute to safeguarding, monitor behaviour, maintain accurate electronic records and uphold a safe, clean and positive residential environment.

This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check with the additional barred list check. All required checks will be undertaken as part of the pre‑employment process for any successful candidate.
