If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you! Randstad Education is seeking a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Support Worker for roles in the Sheffield area. We are working with both mainstream and specialist schools and are looking for someone to start as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities

As a Behaviour Support Worker, you will be instrumental in creating a secure and supportive learning environment. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Confidently de-escalate difficult moments and model appropriate behaviour for pupils.

  • Assist in the creation and implementation of individual behaviour plans, tracking pupil progress towards specific goals.

  • Provide consistent one-to-one emotional support, helping pupils feel safe and understood.

  • Liaise effectively with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure a joined-up approach.

  • Act as an extra layer of safeguarding by observing and reporting on pupil well-being.

Requirements

To be successful in this position, you must possess:

  • A demonstrable background in supporting young people with challenging behaviour within a school or similar setting.

  • An Enhanced Child DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply for a new one).

  • The legal right to work in the UK without any restrictions.

  • Specialist training in managing behaviour, such as Team Teach or MAPA, is highly desirable.

  • A resilient, patient, and proactive approach to supporting young people.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • A genuine commitment to supporting pupils' emotional and social development.
