Overview

JOB TITLE: Support Worker - Learning Disability

LOCATION: Beechway House, L'Derry

POSITIONS AVAILABLE: Various posts available

PLUS Reserve List: Permanent/Temporary, Part-Time/Full-Time posts for Beechway House

Beechway House is a supported living accommodation giving care and support for 16 adults with mild to moderate learning disabilities. It is situated in the Waterside area of Derry ~Londonderry. Beechway House provides 24-hour staff support services, 365 days a year, supporting tenants to develop skills and get involved in day-to-day decision making.

Essential Criteria
  • QCF/NVQ 2 Health and Social Care or equivalent
  • 6 months experience in a formal or informal care/support role* and previous experience of working with individuals with learning disabilities/ mental health issues.
  • Must be currently registered with NISCC or if new to the sector must achieve registration within 6 months.
  • Or 1 year’s experience in a formal or informal care /support role* and previous experience of working with individuals with Learning Disabilities/ Mental Health issues.
  • Must be currently registered with NISCC or if new to the sector must achieve registration within 6 months.
  • Must be willing to work towards the completion of relevant qualification.
  • *Informal Care / Support may include caring at home, and may also include voluntary work

This is a regulated post and will be subject to a satisfactory Access NI check.

All successful applicants will also be required to provide documentary evidence of their right to work in the UK. Please note Apex do not hold a license to sponsor Working Visa's.
