Overview

£12.80 5 hours a week.

I am a young male who lives with my parents. I have severe anxiety and reluctant to engage and socialise. I require someone to support me access the community and help me overcome my anxiety to socialise more. I enjoy gaming, walking my dog, cooking, and have a desire to learn to drive so taking me out in your car is something I would require. I also want support to access local leisure facilities to improve my fitness. So applicants need to have an interest in the above and be comfortable with dogs. Another requirement is to help me build my confidence and independence for later in life. Although the post is for 5 hours due to my anxiety, it will take me time to get used to you so initially it will be for less hours and gradually building up to 5. Preferable days are Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays and will be flexible. I am not a morning person so support will be in the afternoon. Must be a car driver and a full enhanced DBS will be required.

Responsibilities
  • Provide support to access the community and help the client overcome anxiety to socialise more.
  • Assist with activities related to the client’s interests: gaming, walking the dog, cooking, and driving-related outings.
  • Support access to local leisure facilities to improve fitness.
  • Help build confidence and independence for later life.
  • Work within a flexible schedule, initially with reduced hours and gradually increasing to 5 hours per week.
