Job Overview

Support Worker at Elysium Healthcare (Surbiton, KT6 6LQ). Provide care and support to individuals with severe learning disabilities, autism and challenging behaviours, helping them lead a valued life.

Annual base salary £25,057.50, 33 days annual leave (incl. bank holidays), career development and wellbeing support.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred care to people with learning disabilities and mental health conditions.
• Support residents with personal hygiene and daily living activities.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families and multidisciplinary team.
• Manage challenging behaviours with compassion, resilience and vigilance.
• Work 37.5 hours per week, 7.5 hours per day shifts 7am‑2.30pm / 2.30pm‑10pm with weekends on a rota basis.
• Assist with community visits when a valid UK driving licence is held (preferred).

Qualifications

• Experience as a Care Assistant or Support Worker with a background in Learning Disabilities & Autism.
• Strong empathy, caring and compassionate nature.
• Excellent people and communication skills, good sense of humour.
• Willingness to support residents with personal hygiene.
• Positive and professional approach, flexible, reliable, hard‑working and honest.
• UK residence and right to work full time.
