Qualifications

  • Candidates must have the entitlement to work within the UK.
  • Driving candidates must be over 21 with a valid license for more than 3 months and less than 9 points.
  • All roles are subject to relevant background checks.

Responsibilities

Hourly rate: £12.94 an hour

Support Worker

Location: Ladysbridge/Banff

Drivers needed

Shift pattern: Will consist of a combination of early and late shifts.

About the Role

We are looking for enthusiastic Support Workers to join our team to cover a variety of shifts with a service user based in Ladysbridge/Banff.

The successful Support Workers will support in a range of tasks such as; household tasks and maintenance of tenancy, personal care, administering medication, preparing nutritional meals and cooking and activities.

Our service user likes to complete activities such as:

  • Bowling
  • Swimming
  • Shopping
  • Trips in his car
About Them

Our service user is a young man who has a severe learning disability, autism, epilepsy and Downs Syndrome. He engages in very little verbal communication but does respond well to visual support. At times can enjoy his own company so staff would need to be able to tolerate long periods of quiet time.

Our service user does have his own car and would require drivers as he does like to out in the car, sometimes unexpectedly.

If any challenging behaviour is displayed staff must always follow the behaviour support plan to ensure both staff and service user are safe. All training will be given.

Our Support Workers experience variety and a huge sense of reward and achievement in their daily activities where no two days are the same and we place huge emphasis on the fact that our customers are individuals, at Mears Supported Living we feel everyone deserves to be treated as such.
