Overview

Optimum Recruitment Group have been appointed on an exclusive basis to recruit a Supply Planner/Administrator for our successful growth client based in Leeds. Reporting to the Planning Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating with suppliers, managing inventory levels, and ensuring smooth delivery schedules across international supply routes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicating with suppliers to place orders against agreed order programs, confirm delivery schedules and raise purchase orders as needed.
  • Planning and managing delivery and collection schedules for shipments across international supply routes as well as ensuring that deliveries are timely and within agreed lead times.
  • Regularly updating customers on the status of their shipments, providing accurate information on expected delivery dates and any delays or challenges.
  • Managing inventory in line with stockholding agreements and ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained to meet demand while minimising excess stock.
  • Providing administrative support to the Procurement, Supply Chain, and Finance teams, assisting with reporting and other routine tasks that help drive the smooth running of operations.
  • Keeping relevant internal teams informed of lead times, order progress, and any supply chain challenges that may impact on the delivery or production timelines.
  • Regularly participating in cross‑functional meetings to keep stakeholders informed of any supply chain developments or issues.

Salary & Hours

Salary banding is £30,000 - £35,000 (depending on skills and experience) plus benefits. The role is 37.5 hours a week (Monday to Friday) all office based. There may be some requirement once a month to manage the on‑call phone and deal with any queries, this would not require you to go into the office.
