Help us become the Planet’s Bookstore.

At World of Books, we believe books deserve a second life. Founded in 2002, we’ve grown into the world’s largest seller of used books, helping millions of customers discover books sustainably while reducing waste and supporting good causes.

With offices in the UK, US and Hungary and over 1,000 colleagues worldwide, we’re proud to be a certified B-Corp, putting people, planet and purpose at the heart of everything we do.

The Role

As a Supply & Operations Analyst, you’ll play a key role in advancing our data maturity and supporting the next phase of our growth. This is a hands-on, individual contributor role focused on reporting and analytics for Global Supply and Operations, helping drive operational efficiency and profitable growth.

You’ll own end-to-end analytics initiatives – from defining metrics and building datasets to delivering insights that influence strategic decisions at all levels of the business.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Own reporting and analytics for key operational and supply-chain areas
  • Deliver analysis that sizes opportunities, challenges assumptions, and drives strategic decisions
  • Lead initiatives end-to-end: data modelling, validation, analysis, reporting and impact measurement
  • Apply robust statistical and analytical methods to complex business problems
  • Build dashboards and reporting that stakeholders genuinely use
  • Translate complex analysis into clear, actionable recommendations with commercial impact
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Supply, Operations, Product, Tech and senior leaders
  • Automate recurring analysis to focus on high-value insights
  • Contribute to improving analytics standards, documentation and best practices
What We’re Looking For
  • Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or a related field
  • Experience in an analytics role (eCommerce or marketplace experience preferred)
  • Strong SQL skills (Google Cloud environment)
  • Experience working with large datasets
  • BI & visualisation experience (Tableau, Power BI or Looker)
  • Some experience with Python or R (Vertex AI exposure is a plus)
  • Proven ability to communicate insights to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and changing priorities
  • Root-cause and deep-dive analysis
  • Funnel analysis and drop-off investigation
  • Experiment design (A/B, multivariate, incrementality testing)
Nice to have:
  • Predictive analytics (regression, classification, time-series forecasting)
What Success Looks Like

In your first 12 months, success will be measured by:

  • Delivering analytics and reporting that drives clear business value
  • Enabling stakeholders to confidently use data in decision-making
  • Prioritising work aligned to business impact
  • Contributing to initiatives that improve analytics consistency, quality and documentation
Why Join Us?
  • Purpose-driven, sustainability-focused business
  • Certified B-Corp with a strong values-led culture
  • Opportunity to influence decisions at scale using data
  • Collaborative, learning-focused analytics community
  • Hybrid working with a London office base
