Supply Chain Manager (Fixed Term Contract)

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to join our team on a Fixed Term Contract providing maternity cover. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer. This role requires a proactive, solutions-focused leader with strong communication skills and solid technical expertise. You will oversee end-to-end supply chain operations, ensuring efficient material flow, cost-effective sourcing, and excellent service to internal and external stakeholders. You will also play a key role in supplier management, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement across the organisation.

Supplier Management
  • Identify, assess, and manage qualified suppliers.
  • Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and quality standards.
  • Monitor supplier KPIs, manage underperformance, and maintain strong vendor relationships.
Material Sourcing
  • Develop cost-effective sourcing strategies and ensure materials meet specifications.
  • Lead strategic procurement for electrolyser systems and track global supply market trends.
  • Collaborate with R&D, production, and logistics to plan future material needs and ensure efficient storage and transport.
Cost Control
  • Manage supply chain budgets and ensure cost-effective purchasing.
  • Identify savings opportunities, optimise supplier terms, and track key cost metrics.
Supply Chain Operations
  • Oversee daily material flow aligned with production schedules.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and logistics providers to optimise lead times.
  • Manage inventory levels and implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Mentor team members and support departmental workload during absences.
Risk Management
  • Develop strategies to mitigate supply chain risks, including shortages and geopolitical factors.
  • Monitor market dynamics and maintain contingency plans for critical materials.

  • Maintain accurate records of contracts and purchasing activities.
