Job summary

A leading manufacturing firm based in Reading seeks a Supplier Quality Engineer to support quality management processes. The engineer will lead root cause analysis, manage Non-Conformance Reports, and ensure product quality across the supply chain. Ideal candidates will have experience in manufacturing, knowledge of ISO standards, and possess a formal engineering qualification. This hybrid role requires a full, valid driving license and may involve occasional travel to Ireland.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in a similar role in a quality capacity within the manufacturing/engineering/construction environment.
• Ability to manage Non-Conformance Reports and assist with Corrective Action Requests.
• Awareness of BSEN1090, ISO14001, and ISO45001.

Supplier Quality Engineer

Our client, a leader in the manufacturing industry, is searching for a dedicated Quality Engineer to join their dynamic team on a permanent basis. Must hold a Valid Driving license. Please note, within this role you will be expected to travel regularly with occasional travel to Ireland and potentially international.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Quality Manager and working closely with the Quality Engineer Team Lead, you'll support the day‑to‑day management of supplier and product quality. This is a hands‑on role with real influence‑perfect for someone who enjoys audits, root cause analysis, and working closely with both internal teams and external suppliers. You'll be instrumental in minimising quality issues, ensuring robust corrective actions, and promoting a strong customer‑focused, QESH‑driven culture across the business.

What You'll Be Doing

• Supporting the Quality Manager with supply chain and product quality management
• Coordinating and closing out Non‑Conformance Reports and assist with Corrective Action Requests
• Leading and supporting root cause analysis activities
• Verifying supply chain product quality

We're Looking For

• Experience of working in a similar role in a quality capacity, within the manufacturing/engineering/construction environment
• Experience of mechanical engineering and assembly techniques
• A full, valid driving license
• Ability to be an internal auditor for ISO9001
• A CSCS Card
• Awareness of BSEN1090, ISO14001 and ISO45001
• Working knowledge of ISO9001
• A formal engineering qualification
