A leading UK-based design and manufacturing business is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to ensure supplier performance meets quality standards. You will manage non-conformities, conduct audits, and develop KPIs to enhance supplier capabilities. The ideal candidate has over 5 years of experience in a relevant role and strong communication skills. This position offers a salary of £40,000 - £45,000 per annum and is office-based in West London.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years' experience in a supplier quality, manufacturing, or engineering role.
  • Strong knowledge of quality systems, manufacturing processes, and technical drawings.
  • Skilled in using problem-solving tools.

The Role

This role will focus on ensuring supplier performance meets strict quality standards. You'll work closely with manufacturing, procurement, and engineering teams to resolve quality issues, carry out supplier audits, and drive continuous improvement across the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage supplier non-conformities and implement corrective actions.
  • Conduct supplier process and product audits.
  • Inspect new and modified parts for compliance.

  • Support suppliers in improving capabilities and reducing defects.
Requirements
  • 5+ years' experience in a supplier quality, manufacturing, or engineering role.

  • Skilled in Root Cause Analysis, 8D, and similar problem-solving tools.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable
  • ISO 9001 Internal Auditor qualification.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or TQM.
  • Degree or equivalent in an engineering or technical field.
