Are you a dynamic Supervisor looking for experience as an Assistant Construction Manager with a strong understanding of fit-out projects? Randstad is excited to be partnering with a leading fit-out construction company in London. Due to their continued success and a strong pipeline of exciting projects, they are seeking a highly motivated Supervisor to join their team on a rolling contract basis.

About Our Client: Our client is a well-respected fit-out contractor in London, known for their innovative approach and delivery of high-quality commercial interiors across office, retail, and hospitality sectors. They pride themselves on their collaborative culture and commitment to exceeding client expectations.

This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term, rolling contract with a company experiencing significant growth.

The Role: As the Supervisor, you will be responsible for assisting with the overall management and successful delivery of fit-out projects, with a particular emphasis on the coordination and oversight of all fit-out packages and MEP installations. You will be the key point of contact on-site, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of fit-out projects from inception to completion.
  2. Develop and manage detailed project programmes, ensuring key milestones are met.
  3. Directly oversee and coordinate all MEP installations, ensuring compliance with specifications and regulations.
  4. Liaise closely with MEP consultants, subcontractors, and the client team.
  5. Manage and motivate site teams, including direct labour and subcontractors.
  6. Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations on site.
  7. Monitor project progress, identify and resolve any issues or delays.
  8. Manage project budgets and ensure cost control.
  9. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality and compliance.
  10. Chair site meetings and provide clear communication to all stakeholders.
  11. Manage the snagging and handover process effectively.
  12. Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with relevant building regulations and client requirements.

Candidate Requirements:

  1. Proven and extensive experience as a Construction Manager within the fit-out sector.
  2. A strong and demonstrable understanding of MEP systems and their integration within fit-out projects is essential.
  3. Experience with Procore managing all aspects of commercial fit-out projects.
  4. Excellent planning, organisation, and time management skills.
  5. Strong leadership and motivational abilities.
  6. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  7. Ability to effectively manage and resolve complex site-based issues.
  8. A thorough understanding of health and safety regulations within a construction environment.
  9. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications, including MEP drawings.
  10. Relevant construction management qualifications (e.g., degree, NVQ).
  11. A valid SMSTS/SSSTS certificate.
  12. A valid CSCS card.
