Are you an experienced and passionate Supervising Social Worker looking for a fresh challenge with a genuinely caring, family‑owned independent fostering agency?

We are working with an established and Ofsted‑registered agency that has a strong focus on providing a supportive environment for their foster carers, children, and staff. With an office base in Bolton, they currently cover Greater Manchester, Lancashire, and Merseyside, and are now successfully expanding into West Yorkshire. They have invested in resources—from tailored IT systems to supportive policies and a hybrid working structure—to ensure gentle, sustainable growth.

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping and developing a small agency, maintaining the caring ethos that is central to the owners' vision. We are particularly interested in candidates who are fluent in Urdu to support our growing diverse community of carers.

The Role and Responsibilities

As a Supervising Social Worker, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to support and develop our foster carers, ensuring the highest standards of care and outcomes for children and young people.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Supervision and Support: Provide and record regular, reflective supervision to your allocated foster carers, ensuring they fully understand the fostering task, standards, and policies of the agency.
  • Monitoring Suitability: Support and monitor the continued suitability and competence of foster carers, ensuring they provide a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment.
  • Achieving Outcomes: Work in partnership with other professionals to support foster families and achieve outstanding outcomes for all children in their care.
  • Development and Assessment: Promote the participation of children/young people in the agency's development and undertake occasional Form F Assessments and initial home visits.
  • Out-of-Hours Support: Participate in an 'out of hours' support rota to ensure carers always have access to assistance.
What We Offer You

Basic Salary: £35,000- £37,000

Excellent Benefits Package:

  • Substantial Car Allowance £2,000
  • Generous Annual Leave: 25 days, rising to 30 days with length of service, plus Bank Holidays (all pro‑rata).
  • Flexible Working: Hybrid role with the ability to primarily work from home but attend occasional meetings at our Bolton office. Your caseload will cover Lancashire, West Yorkshire, and surrounding areas.
  • Professional Development: Ongoing training and development opportunities.
  • Additional Benefits: Company Pension, Sick Pay Scheme, On‑site Free Parking (at the office), and Childcare Sacrifice scheme.
About You
