Overview

OMNIA® Training brings together some of the UK’s most innovative defence training organisations under one powerful mission: to transform the British Army’s training system and create the best‑trained Army in the world. We are redefining the British Army’s collective training and are looking for the best and brightest minds from across the UK to help deliver that vision.

The role

This is more than a job — it’s a mission. You will be part of a high‑impact, collaborative environment that lives the values and standards of the British Army. You will work in a matrix organisation, reporting operationally through OMNIA Training and functionally through the Raytheon UK Commercial team, ultimately championing innovation and shaping the future of military training.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage subcontractors and suppliers with moderately sized contracts (£50‑£100m) with minimal oversight, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Act as a subcontract subject‑matter expert, contributing to the development of operational plans, budgets, and discipline‑specific goals.
  • Solve numerous and often complex problems with our supply chain through detailed analysis, investigation, and application of prior experience.
  • Manage and negotiate contracts, non‑disclosure agreements and terms and conditions.
  • Drive moderate to significant improvements in processes, systems or products to enhance performance across multiple departments, suppliers or projects.
  • Communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to influence policies, procedures and practices.
  • Coach, review and delegate work to lower‑level professionals, supporting their development and ensuring high‑quality delivery.
  • Provide measurable input into the development of new solutions, projects, processes or standards in support of business strategy.
Who we are looking for

We’re after individuals who want to serve. You’ll have a mission focus and the enthusiasm and drive to get things done, working collaboratively with other defence training organisations and the British Army. You won’t let bureaucracy stand in the way of what needs to be done, and you’ll share lessons across the team.

  • A university degree (preferably in a STEM or business‑related field) or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of subcontract management, supplier engagement and contract execution.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to operate independently and influence across functions.
  • Proven experience in managing complex subcontracting activities and contributing to strategic planning.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at an operational level.
  • Eligibility to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC level) is essential.
  • Experience operating in joint or matrixed teams.
  • Ability to communicate across military and industry partners.
  • Focused on outcomes, delivery and operational excellence.
