Civil Engineering Sub-Agent – Water / Infrastructure Projects

Location: Stratford

Start Date: 25 / 01 / 2026

Duration: until mid August 2026

Rate: Neg (inside IR35)

Hours: Full time / 45 hrs per week

Employment Type : Freelance

We are looking for an experienced Civil Engineering Sub-Agent to support the management and delivery of high-value water infrastructure projects. You will work alongside the Agent to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, on budget, and to the required quality standards. Initial work includes bridge and trunk sewer remediation packages, offering the opportunity to be involved from design through to delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of engineers and sub-agents to deliver works safely and efficiently
  • Manage project plans, site RAMS, ITPs, and temporary works schemes
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and the supply chain to ensure smooth delivery
  • Maintain project programmes, cost plans, and site reporting
  • Identify risks and propose solutions to maximise project performance
  • Chair and attend project meetings, ensuring actions are captured and executed
Essential Requirements
  • Degree / HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalent
  • CSCS card
  • Working knowledge of NEC contracts, CDM regulations, design management, risk management, programme and cost control
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills
  • Experience leading technically challenging civil engineering projects
Desirable
  • IOSH Managing Safely or SMSTS
  • Temporary Works Coordinator
  • Confined Space Training
  • Lift Coordinator / Supervisor
  • Proven track record delivering similar high-value projects
