Key Responsibilities
  • Delivering individual and small group interventions to boost engagement, attendance, confidence, and self‑esteem.
  • Working closely with school staff, families, and external agencies to provide consistent support and access to specialist services.
  • Monitoring and evaluating interventions, keeping clear records and reporting progress to the Behaviour Lead and senior leadership team.
  • Supporting behaviour management systems, including ready to learn supervision and lunchtime duties.
  • Being part of our first aid team, responding to illness and injury when needed.
  • Investigating incidents, liaising with parents, and providing ongoing support to students.

This role is key to our student‑centred approach, where every young person has the opportunity to thrive. You’ll be part of a dedicated team that values collaboration, compassion, and commitment to excellence.

About You

You are a natural role model who thrives on making a difference in young people’s lives. Personable, approachable, and a self‑starter, you bring energy and empathy to every interaction. You’re committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students, and you have the resilience to remain calm and de‑escalate challenging situations while maintaining confidentiality.

Your Skills and Experience
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
  • A tactful, polite, and helpful manner when working with colleagues, parents, pupils, and senior leaders.
  • The confidence to manage your own workload and meet deadlines.
  • A willingness to learn and develop new skills.
  • Experience of supporting vulnerable or disadvantaged students, ideally backed by NVQ Level 3 in Learning Development and Support Services (or equivalent experience).

Above all, you’ll be motivated by helping students overcome barriers to learning, building their confidence, and enabling them to reach their full potential.
