Job summary

An educational organization is looking for an Attendance, Progress and Academic Skills Coach to support disadvantaged young people in Blackburn. The successful candidate will remove barriers to academic progress and mentor students toward achieving their educational goals. The role requires strong communication and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment. A Level 2 qualification in English and Maths is essential, alongside the ability to engage effectively with students aged 16-19. This position offers a salary of £27,185 pro rata per annum.

Qualifications

• Good standard of general education.
• Experience in working with young people (16-19) is preferred.
• Ability to form and maintain appropriate relationships with young people.

Responsibilities

• Champion and support students to remove barriers to academic progress.
• Act as a mentor for high engagement in the Study Programme.
• Communicate effectively with Tutor and Student Engagement teams.
