We are seeking an experienced and motivated Student Records Manager to lead the operational management of the College's student data, ensuring the highest levels of accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all systems and processes. You will oversee the full student lifecycle - from admissions and enrolment through to achievement and completion - ensuring that data supports funding, audit, and performance reporting requirements. Working closely with curriculum and support teams, you'll play a key role in maintaining data integrity, meeting funding body deadlines, and supporting strategic decision-making through effective information management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the Student Records team, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all learner data.
- Oversee enrolment and exams processes for all students, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.
- Manage the creation and maintenance of the annual Course File and Timetables, supporting curriculum planning and funding compliance.
- Submit statutory funding returns (e.g. ILR, HESES) and coordinate audit preparation to ensure full compliance with DfE, OfS, and devolved authority requirements.
- Produce and present management reports and performance data to support college planning, self-assessment, and strategic priorities.
- Lead on data protection and GDPR compliance within Student Records.
- Work collaboratively with MIS, Finance and Curriculum teams to ensure data accuracy and efficiency across the College.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in managing or working within Student Records or MIS in Further or Higher Education.
- Strong understanding of DfE funding, ILR processes, and data compliance.
- Experience of audit preparation and data validation.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in MIS software (e.g. ProSolution, 4Cast, or equivalent) and strong Excel/data reporting skills.
- Desirable: Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience.
- Experience with devolved funding arrangements and OfS data returns.
£38,664 - £42,230 per annum
