A higher education institution in England is seeking current students to join the Faculty Student Advisory Board. This role involves participating in meetings, providing insights to shape education policy, and supporting the enhancement of the student experience. The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students, to apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role. The Faculty of Health and Education is seeking to recruit 15 students to join the Faculty Student Advisory Board to help shape education policy and strategy and to provide feedback on innovations. This is an exciting opportunity to have strategic input into developing education and student experience at Manchester Met whilst enhancing your CV and developing employability skills. We aim to recruit students who are representatives of different courses, year groups and backgrounds. No previous experience of working within education is needed. This opportunity is open to student representatives but is distinct from the student union and the student voice committee process.
Details: Date: from 4 February 2026 Hours of Work: initial meeting with preparation and follow up actions is x 3 hours. Further work will be adhoc. Details of briefing/training (if relevant): Please note: this is an occasional role. The Student Advisory Board will meet at least once on campus in 25/26. The first meeting will 2pm-3.30pm on the 4 February 2026. You will be required to read any documents before the board and attend the meeting in person. There will be opportunities to undertake additional paid ad hoc work during the year on behalf of the Board.
