Job Description

A client within the Private Sector based in the North Eastis currently recruiting for a Structural Engineer to join their Engineering & Design team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full-time, permanent positionwith the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority or design consultancy within a construction or civil engineering environment.

The Role
Key purpose of the role isto provide structural design expertise and support across a variety of building projects, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant structural solutions.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
• Structural analysis and design for a range of building projects
• Utilising Tekla Structural Designer and AutoCAD to create accurate models and drawings
• Conducting structural surveys and preparing detailed technical reports
• Collaborating with architects, engineers, and clients to deliver design solutions
• Ensuring all designs meet applicable standards, regulations, and project goals
• Assisting in project delivery, coordination, and reporting activities

The Candidate
To be considered for this role you will require:
• A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• 3 to 5 years of experience in structural design
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and building codes/industry standards
The below skills would be beneficial for the role:
• Experience using Autodesk Revit
• A full UK driving licence
• Experience conducting structural surveys and writing reports

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £35,000 – £40,000 per annum(DOE)
