Job Description:

Are you an experienced Structural Design Engineer looking to take on technically challenging projects with a company committed to innovation and professional development? The successful Structural Design Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Producing accurate and compliant designs for multibeam, multichannel, and multideck systems, with substantiated calculations.
  • Reviewing and interpreting architectural and structural engineers’ drawings, ensuring designs are both practical and cost-effective.
  • Providing technical advice and support to specifiers, customers, and internal teams across the UK.
  • Checking and verifying design calculations and drawings produced by colleagues.
  • Preparing bills of materials to support project costing and sales activity.
  • Supporting the business in the development of digital engineering capabilities and design software tools.
  • Ensuring all projects meet CDM requirements, ISO standards, CE marking, and wider compliance obligations.
  • Delivering presentations and technical updates on product performance, structural design, and project-specific solutions.

The ideal Structural Design Engineer will bring:

  • A degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (essential).
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods and building techniques.
  • Excellent analytical, planning, and organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • The ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively with colleagues and clients.
  • A full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel between sites.
  • Ideally, 2+ years’ experience in a structural engineering role, with familiarity in AutoCAD, 3D modelling, or cold-formed steel design.
