Opportunity: Structural Design Engineer
Location: Hybrid (Manchester / Remote)
Rate: Negotiable and Competitive
Duration: 6 months +
IR35: Inside

We require the services of a Structural Design Engineer with a Rail Structures background for various schemes, based in Manchester.

Responsibilities and types of projects:

• Bridge maintenance and strengthening of rail structures
• Design of retaining structures and platform extensions
• Lineside structures
• Embankment and cutting stabilisation
• Culvert lining and replacement
• Scour protection
• Tunnel maintenance and strengthening
• All works designed and delivered in accordance with all relevant technical standards.

Minimum Requirements:

• The Structural Design Engineer should hold an engineering degree or equivalent industry recognised qualification.
• Minimum 3 years relevant post Graduate experience of producing Engineering designs.
• Must be able to work independently and be able to produce pragmatic designs to programme.
• Hold full UK driving licence and have use of their own vehicle.

The role will be based in Manchester with a hybrid working arrangement (Three days office / two days remote per week).
