NHS Supply Chain currently has an opportunity for a Strategy Lead to join our team during an exciting period of transformation, working to make it easier for the NHS to put patients first and to deliver against our strategic objectives.

We are seeking an experienced Strategy Lead who will be responsible for working collaboratively with the business to create and implement Directorate strategies and quality outcomes. Developing market models and business scenario modelling, managing, and maintaining core strategic artefacts so we have one corporate version of the truth for key presentations and models and leading the Strategy Analysts to deliver key strategy projects

Every day you will …
  • Partner with the business to create and implement Directorate strategies, that align with the corporate strategy.
  • Use data from a wide range of sources to analyse key themes and identify possible impacts on the business, improving decision making and outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development of annual and longer-term business plans; forecast performance against business KPIs
  • Develop business cases for key activities/projects; and estimate the financial and human resources required to deliver performance targets.
  • Communicate the local action plan; explain how this relates to the Directorates strategy and action plan and the broader organisation's mission and vision; motivate people to achieve local business goals.
  • Develop and deliver elements of a strategic planning system.
