Overview

This Strategist role is hands‑on, taking the lead in creating and shaping Commerce strategies on key accounts and supporting on others. You will be a trusted advisor within the business. Additionally, the role involves actively contributing to and identifying growth opportunities for the agency and contributing to new business pitches as needed.


We are seeking an individual with a strong skill set in retail, digital, and marketing communications. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of successfully navigating challenging briefs, elevating work standards across both online and offline channels and finding enjoyment in the process. Collaboration with various departments, particularly creative, is essential for success.


Responsibilities

KEY SKILL SETS

Retail / Commerce



  • Demonstrable experience creating impactful commerce strategies and creative work that positively impacts metrics

  • Passionate and knowledgeable about Retail and Customer Experience and able to provide a compelling point of view on Commerce and where it is heading

  • Ability to define & articulate shopper mind‑states, barriers and needs across consumer journeys, evolving the approach and messaging at each stage

  • Well versed in behaviour change principles and behaviour change strategy, and how to apply it to strategic and creative thinking

  • Expertise creating physical, digital, social and ecommerce‑led campaigns


Strategic and Channel Acumen



  • Adept at getting into the detail as much as zooming out on the bigger picture

  • Able to create and present simple, but powerful narratives that inspire both clients and creative teams at all levels

  • Omnichannel thinker with excellent understanding of role of paid, earned and owned channels in the physical and digital space

  • Passionate about dissecting and challenging client briefs

  • Loves to think and do things pro‑actively; loves to inspire the team and the client

  • Acts as a valued and trusted partner to creatives, clients, and client services

  • Good understanding of planning processes and open to suggesting new approaches to achieve best practice & efficiencies

  • Experience writing clear & compelling creative briefs and confident in briefing/ overseeing creatives & designers

  • Ensures that all creative output ladders back to strategy, brand & objectives whilst championing the creative cause

  • Continuous drive to improve our creative product in partnership with our teams, both in terms of effectiveness, and creative fame


Insight Mining, Data and Measurement



  • Confident using a range of traditional and new data tools for research, to identify new and compelling insights

  • Confident in analysing and synthesising large amounts of information and data to create a clear, compelling narrative
