Job description
Overview

Strategic Growth Manager - EMEA at Aon, reporting to the Chief of Staff to the Head of Commercial Risk and working closely with CRS EMEA leadership. You will orchestrate regional strategy, link local business priorities to global initiatives, and drive the growth agenda through data-driven insight, cross-functional collaboration, and purposeful execution.

Responsibilities
  • Lead development and execution of annual and multi-year strategic plans for EMEA, balancing global priorities with local business dynamics.
  • Act as the strategic bridge between local offices, regional leadership, and global initiatives to ensure coherence and alignment.
  • Drive regional growth strategies for specialty businesses and broking operations, leveraging market insights and performance data.
  • Identify opportunities for expansion, optimization, and new revenue streams across EMEA.
  • Partner with HR, Finance, IT, Legal, Operations, Marketing, and others to embed strategic initiatives across functions.
  • Prepare leadership materials (e.g., business reviews, growth dashboards), steering governance processes and follow-ups.
  • Own and deliver high-priority regional projects end-to-end—from scoping and diagnosis to execution and post-analysis.
  • Provide tactical support to the Chief of Staff on critical initiatives, acting with autonomy and accountability.
  • Operate in a highly matrixed, regional setup with multiple stakeholder groups—colleagues across EMEA and globally.
  • Thrive in ambiguity and complexity, bringing clarity, structure, and results.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior regional leadership using data and analysis to inform decisions.
  • Build durable, authentic relationships and influence outcomes through insight and credibility rather than positional authority.
  • Deliver high-impact insights, using data analytics, modeling, and structured thinking to illuminate strategic options.
  • Possess deep knowledge of specialty risk, broking models, and consulting functions to integrate diverse business insights into strategy.
  • Be energized by challenges and complexity—this role is not easy, but it’s where real impact is made.
  • Exhibit resilience, patience, humility, and flexibility—understanding the human aspect of implementing change.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
  • Experience: experience in strategic consulting (preferably within insurance or broking) or in a high-impact in-house strategy/growth role.
  • Analytical Strength: Excellent financial acumen, structured problem-solving, and advanced data analysis capabilities.
  • Commercial & Specialty Insight: Solid understanding of specialty businesses, broking dynamics, and market complexity.
  • Cross-Functional Experience: Demonstrated experience collaborating with Finance, HR, IT, Marketing, and Operations in complex organizations.
  • Stakeholder Savvy: Experience influencing senior leaders across diverse geographies and cultures.
  • Personal Attributes: Self-starter, flexible in ambiguous environments, emotionally intelligent, resilient under pressure, and motivated by driving tangible change.
  • Education: Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) is highly valued.
