Qualifications

• Experience in a senior finance role, ideally as Financial Controller or equivalent.
• Experience in an Academy Trust or similar regulated sector is essential.
• Knowledge of ESFA/Academy Trust Handbook requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the finance function for the Trust.
• Produce accurate and timely monthly management accounts.
• Oversee preparation of statutory accounts and ensure compliance.
• Drive financial planning and long-term forecasting.
• Lead and develop the finance team.
• Partner with senior stakeholders for financial stewardship.
• Maintain and improve internal controls and processes.
• Lead on year-end processes and audits.
• Manage cash flow and risk management.
• Support the Trust’s strategic and operational objectives.
