Job description
Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Strategic Estates Programme Lead to support the delivery of the Derbyshire NHS Infrastructure Strategy. This role will be pivotal in driving estates transformation across the Derbyshire system, ensuring our estate is fit for the future and aligned with strategic priorities. The postholder will be employed by Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust but will work collaboratively across all system partners, including the Joined Up Care Derbyshire Provider Collaborative, with a high level of autonomy and influence.

The programme aims to deliver key strategic priorities across Derbyshire, including estate utilisation of existing assets, estate rationalisation for consolidation and cost-efficiency, improving data quality to inform prioritisation, and supporting care closer to home through estate planning. The role involves collaboration with NHS organisations and wider public sector partners to foster partnership and shared ambition, with robust reporting and benefit realisation mechanisms in place, and clinically-led medium-term estate planning and service transformation. The programme represents the Trust at system groups including the Strategic Estates Group and Local Estates workstreams.

  • Lead the delivery of the Estates Work Programme across Derbyshire, supporting key strategic priorities.
  • Estate utilisation maximising use of existing estate assets.
  • Estate rationalisation identifying opportunities for consolidation and cost-efficiency.
  • Improving data quality to help inform strategic decisions around priorities.
  • Supporting the left shift enabling care closer to home through estate planning.
  • Collaborate with NHS organisations and wider public sector partners to foster a culture of partnership and shared ambition.
  • Ensure robust reporting and benefit realisation mechanisms are in place.
  • Support clinically-led medium-term estate planning and service transformation.
  • Represent the programme at system groups including the Strategic Estates Group and Local Estates workstreams.
