Strategic Account Manager - Commercial Insurance

Location : Leeds / North East (regular travel required)

We’re working with a leading global insurer to recruit a Strategic Account Manager / Business Development Manager to take the lead on broker engagement across Yorkshire and North East England. This is a commercially focused role for someone who thrives on building and strengthening broker partnerships, driving growth, and representing a respected name in the market.

You’ll be the key point of contact for a panel of strategic brokers, developing relationship strategies that deliver profitable premium growth while ensuring brokers’ needs are understood and supported. Working closely with underwriting and senior leadership, you’ll help shape broker plans, identify cross-sell opportunities, and provide valuable market insights to feed into the wider business strategy. A big part of the role will be being out in the market where you will be meeting brokers face to face, attending industry events, and positioning the business as a trusted partner.

The successful candidate will have strong experience in the UK insurance market, ideally within the regional commercial space, with proven broker relationship management skills and a good grasp of underwriting principles.
