About the Role

A busy regional company is seeking a reliable Stores Driver & Warehouse Operative to join their team in Cheddar. This hybrid role combines driving deliveries and collections with hands‑on warehouse duties, making it perfect for a proactive individual who enjoys variety and contributing to a fast-paced operational environment.

You’ll play a key role in keeping operations running smoothly across the southwest region, ensuring goods are delivered on time, the warehouse is well‑maintained, and stock is accurate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake planned and reactive customer deliveries and collections.
  • Handle documentation for deliveries and collections, including company and customer paperwork.
  • Record jobs and update systems (including photos) accurately.
  • Pack goods for dispatch and assist with stock replenishment, including consumables.
  • Receive goods and ensure proper storage.
  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organisation.
  • Assist the Stores Manager and broader team as required to meet operational needs.
  • Adhere to health and safety policies and work with management to ensure compliance.
  • Be available for occasional out‑of‑hours collections and deliveries.
What You’ll Need
  • Clean driving license.
  • Proven experience in a similar role preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to take responsibility for assigned tasks.
  • Basic computer skills for recording and tracking work.
  • Adaptable, with an openness to new and more efficient working approaches.
