Storeman vacancy in East Kilbride (200jc)

Storeman (200jc) – East Kilbride - £12.60 per hour

This client who are an industrial flooring solutions company are now seeking to recruit a storeman to join their expanding company.

You will be reporting to the Contracts Manager, and your duties will consist of:

• Responsibility to keep store clean & tidy at all times.
• Driving forklift.
• Checking, fixing, repairing and maintenance of cables, small plant and large plant.
• Off load any deliveries and check against purchase order provided by Contracts Manager.
• Ensure waste material correctly disposed of and that the waste related paperwork is sent back to the office for filing.
• Advise Contracts Managers in any shortfall, damaged material or irregularities with delivery.
• Liaise with Administration re servicing of van or large plant items.
• Ensure PPE kept fully stocked at all times.
• Set out material, plant and PPE for contracts on instructions from Contracts Managers.
• Any excess material returned from site to be stored in appropriate section of store.
• Quarterly stock check to be taken and provided to Financial Director.
• Any out-of-date or damaged material to be set aside for disposal by the nominated special waste contractor.
• Raise any issues regarding H&S, Quality and Environmental matters.

There are no real formal qualifications for this role, but knowledge of the following would be very useful:

• Experience as a storeman or logistics operative.
• Forklift knowledge
• Computer literate.

In return they are offering a starting wage of £12.60 per hour for a 39 hr working week, working Mon to Thur 0700 to 1530hrs and finishing an hour earlier on Fri and ½ for lunch.
