STOCK CONTROLLER

Location: Irvine
Salary: £30,000 per annum
Type: Full-time, Permanent

A growing warehouse and distribution operation is looking for an experienced Stock Controller to take full ownership of stock accuracy, processes, and a small stock control team.

This is a hands‑on role where you'll lead from the front—ensuring stock is received, stored, controlled, and reported accurately to support teams and customers across the UK.

What you'll be doing:
  • Owning all stock control activity, accuracy, reporting, and reconciliation
  • Leading, coaching, and developing a small team of stock control operatives
  • Managing FIFO, stock rotation, slow movers, specials, and damaged goods
  • Maintaining high standards of housekeeping, organisation, and H&S
  • Producing weekly/monthly stock reports and driving continuous improvement
  • Liaising with purchasing, sales, and operations to keep stock flowing
  • Supporting Goods In/Out and picking during peak periods
  • Overseeing stock held at third-party warehouses when required
