Job description

Our client is hiring an experienced Stock Controller based in Comber, to coordinate inventory movements and maintain accurate stock control within a high-volume production and dispatch operation. This practical role involves overseeing stock rotation, documenting and reporting discrepancies, and supporting warehouse processes to drive efficiency and reduce waste.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and book in accurate stock levels.
• Record and report waste figures and stock discrepancies.
• Manage regular rotation of inventory using FIFO.
• Perform daily and random stock checks and full stock takes.
• Ensure accurate labelling and safe storage.
• Communicate waste and stock reports to management.
• Investigate discrepancies thoroughly and support audits.
• Support despatch team with picking orders when required.

Skills and Qualifications

• Previous experience in a stock control or warehouse role.
• High attention to detail, numeracy and accuracy.
• Strong reporting and organising skills.
• Confident using inventory systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with Despatch and Warehouse teams.
• Flexible and reliable with strong communication skills.
