About the Role

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is seeking a Multi Skilled Engineer based in Dartford to perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on plant, equipment, and building services.

Responsibilities
  1. Identify and manage risks through equipment maintenance, updating drawings, managing spares, and improving machinery performance.
  2. Utilize new equipment and technologies for maintenance, liaising with clients on machinery PPMs.
  3. Fault find on various machinery.
  4. Support health and safety initiatives within the department.
  5. Provide electrical and mechanical expertise, working on heavy industrial machines and overhead cranes.
  6. Prepare and follow risk assessments, addressing issues safely and accurately.
  7. Complete documentation in compliance with rules and legislation.
  8. Work on three-phase systems up to 440V.
  9. Maintain motors, gearboxes, valves, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  10. Use mobile devices to project and complete work via the CAFM system.
  11. Plan daily work using email and calendar tools.
  12. Liaise with onsite services to resolve building service issues.
  13. Act as responsible person for the department when required and deputize for the Shift Leader.
  14. Work overtime as needed, including nights and weekends.
  15. Perform ad hoc duties as required.
Experience and Qualifications
  • Recognized or time-served apprenticeship.
  • Proven experience in manufacturing maintenance.
  • Electrical qualifications (City and Guilds 236 Pt 1-2, 17th Edition).
  • Mechanical qualifications (City and Guilds Mechanical).
  • Strong multi-skilled abilities.
  • Experience with 3-phase motors, drives, and inverters.
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic experience.
  • Fault finding skills.
  • PLC diagnostics and repair.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Electrical and Mechanical.
  • Ability to supervise contractors.
  • Ability to write risk and method statements, understand permits.
Desirable Skills
  • Working at height qualification.
  • IPAF certification.
  • AP qualifications.
  • Experience in heavy engineering.
