Job description

Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Service / Maintenance Engineer

Salary: £35,000 per annum (depending on skills and experience)

Location: Cambridge

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on a range of refrigeration and air-conditioning systems, including split systems, VRV/VRF units, water chillers and associated equipment.
  • Diagnose faults, repair equipment where possible, or recommend appropriate remedial action.
  • Complete all required paperwork and service reports accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Work independently or as part of a small onsite team.
  • Participate in the emergency call-out rota (one allocated day per week under the site rota system).
Qualifications
Essential:
  • City & Guilds 2079 (F‑Gas)
  • Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable:
  • 18th Edition Electrical
  • IPAF
  • PASMA
Experience & Skills
  • Good experience working on a broad range of air-conditioning systems (split, multi-split, VRV/VRF).
  • Experience with refrigeration systems, including water chillers.
  • Strong fault‑finding ability and good general electrical knowledge.
  • Excellent communication skills—both customer‑facing and written.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a small team.
