A prominent UK rolling stock financier is looking for a Standards & Technical Engineer to support engineering expertise and ensure compliance with technical documentation standards. A great opportunity for an exceptional Standards & Technical Engineer, to join the Porterbrook team.
This role will support the Head of Safety, Standards and Environment to provide engineering expertise to ensure Porterbrook's technical documentation remains accurate to asset configuration, compliant with latest standards and best practice and cost effective.
The role will have a leading function in Porterbrook's Safety, Standards and Environment for engineering related projects undertaken within the team, including cross-industry working.
The role will additionally play a key part in the continuous improvements in development of Porterbrook's safety, quality and environmental management systems requiring strong. communication.
General Requirements
Person with no less than five years' experience working in an engineering / standards role in a rail related business. Experience with rail vehicle engineering & maintenance activities, including the production / approval of engineering documentation such as maintenance plans including running maintenance and overhaul documentation. Familiar with development, implementation and maintenance of business processes aligned with ISO9001 / 14001 / 45001 standards. Previous experience of delivering engineering / technical projects.
