Job description
Stage Club Creative Choreographers/Directors&MD

SJM Creative

Deadline: 31 January 2026 at 16:55.

We are looking for some new creative tutors to join our STAGE CLUB projects, working with Primary School aged children.

Stage club is an after school club that runs within primary schools, creating and performing annual stage shows with groups of 40-120 children. We have been running for over 15 years, and with the addition of more schools to our weekly roster, we are looking to expand our team further.

We are looking for creative and talented individuals who are available Mon‑Fri for the after school time of 3pm‑5pm (12pm‑3pm Friday) to teach classes in the South West of Edinburgh, from Morningside to Oxgangs. As well as weekly rehearsals, we require our team to be available for show weeks and also for general week to week classes outwith the September‑March rehearsal process.

The suitable candidate should be confident in leading large groups of children, should have relevant training in their performance field and should be PVG registered. Our projects run from September‑March (and then top off of March‑June) so we require a committed tutor who can commit to year long projects, with the intention to expand and develop their role within the Stage Club brand.

Rate £25 per hour, with up to 10 hours per week available (depending on availability and experience). Show weeks have more hours available to deliver the shows to a live audience.

Email hello@sjmcreative.com with experience, covering email and any links to previous work (please make sure you have approval to privately share with us).

We have 2 days work available from early January 2026, as well as First Aid and training day planned for then - so are keen to speak to people prior to Tuesday 6th January. Online initial interviews will take place – please note your availability for this in your introduction email.

The deadline is Saturday 31 January 2026 at 16:55.

TAGGED: Education / Theatre / Young People (aged 0 to 25)
