The Rehabilitation Unit at Tamworth Hospital is a 22-bed inpatient unit and provides comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation services to the northern sector of HNELHD and includes vital services including:
Our team comprises two Rehab Physicians, a Registrar (we are accredited for advanced training with AFRM(RACP), supported by a Junior Medical Officer, an expert Registered Nursing team and MDT team including Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Speech Pathology, and Dietetics.
We proudly support the teaching of Medical Students and work closely with the Primary Care General Practice community.
Fellowship of the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine, and Specialist Registration with AHPRA.
