Are you looking for an exciting job opportunity in Emergency Care?
Our Emergency Department is looking to recruit an experienced Nurse to join our friendly and supportive ‘ED family’. Our dynamic workforce is evolving to meet the changing needs of the local population and we recognise the value of supporting staff to be at work by offering a variety of rota patterns. We aim to support flexible working requests and will consider shorter day shifts for returning parents where possible. We prioritise wellbeing and development of our staff and offer a fast paced, rewarding role in one of the busiest Emergency Departments in the region.
Our ambition is to deliver excellent local and specialist services, to improve the health and well being of our patients, and provide a vibrant place for staff to develop, innovate and build careers. As one organisation we will recruit the finest and retain more specialist staff due to more employment opportunities across our Trust.
Your role will involve working in a variety of clinical situations, drawing on a range of skills, where you will ‘make the difference’ to patients, their families, and carers by offering a supportive, informative, and holistic approach to nursing care. You will work through day-to-day clinical issues using effective and empathetic communication skills.
You will experience working in all areas of the ED—from Minors (applying dressings, plaster casts and wound closure) to Majors (caring for those with serious, complex conditions) and in our Resuscitation Area, dealing with life-threatening cases. You will develop the skills required to perform in all areas with a clear understanding of escalation and the ability to make clinical decisions that prioritise care.
No two days in the department are ever the same, so we can guarantee you a varied and interesting workload. In return, we would need someone with excellent organisational skills, the capability to prioritise a complex workload, professionalism, strong teamwork, and the ability to work under pressure.
Full and ongoing training will be given, and you will be nurtured and supported throughout your career with frequent opportunities to progress, expand and consolidate your knowledge with a view to advancing your career path.
