A prominent mental health service provider in Doncaster is looking for a Band 5 RMN to join their nursing team. This role involves planning and delivering nursing care to individuals with acute mental health needs and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. The ideal candidate will have a registered nurse qualification and a commitment to patient-centered care. The organization values ongoing staff support and offers training opportunities.
ACCOUNTABLE TO: WARD MANAGER. You will be the named nurse for a group of patients on the ward, this involves planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care in line with the Care Programme Approach (CPA). To demonstrate nursing practice is up to date and evidence based. To spend therapeutic time building relationships with patients and carers and delivering care in accordance with care plans. To collaborate with multidisciplinary team on the ward and community teams and other professionals who are involved to achieve continuity of care for our inpatients. To promote effective working by supervising junior colleagues, sharing the best practice guidance and evidence-based practice. To undertake and update risk assessments and discuss and inform these to the wider MDT, showing understanding of risk management in your everyday practice. To communicate effectively with the MDT on all clinical matters, with accurate, contemporaneous medical record keeping. To adhere to the Mental Health Act 1983 and the Mental Capacity Act 2005. To operate with policies and procedures of Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust. The post-holder will ensure correct administration of drugs in accordance with the Trust's Policy and legal requirements. The post holder will maintain a safe environment for all our patients, visitors and staff.

In Doncaster we are part of the All-age Mental Health Services; our inpatient services consist of two 20 bedded adult acute wards and a 6 bedded Psychiatric Intensive Care unit (PICU).
