We are looking to appoint an LSA who will support an individual child with their BSL communication, under the direction of the leadership team. The LSA will need to be flexible as it will encompass both planned support and also may involve unplanned work. The role will also involve liaison with the family and other agencies. All work will be under the guidance of the senior leadership team, ALNCO and Teachers of the Deaf. The LSA will understand how to support children with social, emotional and behavioural needs, work on their own initiative to support individuals and groups and be prepared to undertake additional training if required.
This post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service Enhanced check. Under the Education (Wales) Act 2014, all School Learning Support Workers must be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC). This vacancy is suitable for post share.
