Senior Knowledge Lawyer / Solicitor – Knowledge Management – Bristol

Location: Bristol

Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time (Hybrid)

Salary: £85,000 – £110,000 (depending on experience)

A leading global law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Knowledge Lawyer / Solicitor (around 5 years PQE) to join its Knowledge Management team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor looking to take on a strategic, high-impact role within a collaborative, innovative and forward-thinking environment.

The Role

You will act as a senior member of the Knowledge Management team, responsible for delivering high quality knowledge, training and innovation support across the firm. Key responsibilities include:

  • Driving the development of the firmwide Knowledge Management strategy
  • Supporting senior leadership in delivering a global KM programme
  • Drafting, reviewing and maintaining precedents, templates, forms, checklists and other knowledge assets
  • Overseeing the delivery of legal training, webinars and podcasts for internal teams and clients
  • Liaising directly with clients to deliver legal learning and content solutions
  • Coordinating practice specific KM projects to meet identified needs
  • Monitoring legal, regulatory and market developments to produce insights and briefings
  • Leading practice technology initiatives and supporting adoption across the firm
  • Collaborating with IT, BD and Risk & Compliance on KM driven projects
  • Supervising and developing junior members of the Knowledge team
Candidate Requirements

This role is suited to a qualified solicitor with:

  • Around 8 years PQE (Knowledge Lawyer/PSL or fee earner solicitor seeking a KM role)
  • A genuine passion for knowledge management, innovation and legal technology
  • Strong analytical, research and drafting skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Expertise in insurance law and litigation (preferred but not essential)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to articulate complex legal issues clearly and concisely
  • Confidence operating at partnership level with professionalism and integrity
  • Ability to build strong relationships across teams and jurisdictions
  • A proactive, organised and self motivated approach
  • Ability to manage multiple deliverables within tight timeframes
