Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Sprinkler Design & Estimating Engineer for a growing fire protection business in London. This role offers a salary between £45,000 and £55,000, hybrid working options, and extensive benefits including training and progression opportunities. Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years' experience producing technical submissions and O&M manuals.
  • Previous experience within the construction industry is desirable.
  • Proven knowledge of BS EN 12845 and BS 9251 sprinkler systems.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in producing accurate, compliant estimates and quotations.
  • Design and peer-review sprinkler systems in accordance with BS EN 12845 and BS 9251.
  • Support internal and external compliance audits.

Job description

Pro-Group have partnered with a successful and growing fire protection business to recruit a Sprinkler Design & Estimating Engineer to join their growing Sprinkler Installations team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term, rewarding career within the construction and fire protection industry.

You will play a key support role within a rapidly expanding fire detection and suppression company, gaining hands-on experience, specialist training, and exposure to industry-leading projects. For the right candidate, this role offers outstanding opportunities for professional development and career progression.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in producing accurate, compliant estimates and quotations
  • Design and peer-review sprinkler systems in accordance with BS EN 12845 and BS 9251
  • Support internal and third-party site and office compliance audits
  • Assist Project Managers with QA checks, as-built drawings, and snagging works
  • Contribute to the preparation of technical submissions and O&M manuals
Skills & Experience
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Strong mathematical, written, and communication skills
  • Minimum 2 years' experience producing technical submissions and O&M manuals
  • Previous experience within the construction industry (desirable)
Knowledge & Training
  • Proven knowledge of BS EN 12845 and BS 9251 sprinkler systems
  • Industry-recognised training (e.g. BAFSA, RSA, XACT, FIRAS)
  • FHC (Canute) training or experience is desirable
Additional Requirements
  • Full clean UK driving licence and own vehicle
  • Ability to work remotely and commute to London (ideally based in London or the South East)
  • Right to work in the United Kingdom
