Job description
Specialist SpLD Tutor Required - Year 10 Student (Dyslexia) - Corby - January Start

Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting for a highly qualified Specialist Specific Learning Difficulty (SpLD) Tutor to provide targeted support for a Year 10 student in Corby with a formal diagnosis of Dyslexia. This role is due to commence ASAP and represents an excellent opportunity for an experienced practitioner to make a meaningful impact on a learner's academic progress and confidence.

The successful tutor will deliver structured, evidence-based, one-to-one intervention, tailored to meet the individual needs of a secondary-aged learner. Support will focus on literacy development, learning strategies, and building independent study skills appropriate for Key Stage 4 and exam preparation.

Qualifications

We are specifically seeking tutors who hold one of the following qualifications:

  • Level 5 or Level 7 Accredited Teacher/Practitioner Status (AT/PS) in Specific Learning Difficulties
  • An equivalent recognised SpLD qualification

Applicants should have demonstrable experience working with students with Dyslexia, ideally at secondary level, and be confident in adapting approaches to suit the learner's profile. A strong understanding of current SpLD best practice and the ability to plan, deliver, and review personalised intervention programmes is essential.
