Qualifications

  • Experience within a similar role, including catheter care and bowel management.
  • Valid UK driving licence to drive the WAV during shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, support, and motivate care staff for outstanding person-centred care.
  • Conduct spot checks, supervisions, and competency assessments.
  • Assist with rota management and ensure staffing adequacy.

Spinal Injury Team Leader

Location: Birmingham

Job Type: Zero-hour contract

Shifts: 12 hour day shifts & night shifts. Team Leader expectations would be a split of hours on the rota as a Support Worker, alongside hours for administration/other duties.

Role Overview

We are offering an opportunity for experienced Team Leader/Senior Spinal Injury Support Worker to join our new client in Birmingham. To support their independence and lifestyle, we’re seeking support workers who are confident, empathetic, and capable of building a strong, trusting relationship.

Key Responsibilities

As a team leader, you will:

  • Lead, support, and motivate care staff to deliver outstanding person-centred care
  • Conduct spot checks, supervisions, and competency assessments
  • Assist with rota management and ensure adequate staffing for each care package
  • Maintain accurate care records
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, families, and professionals
  • Support with training and development of care staff
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safeguarding, and health & safety regulations
  • Provide hands-on care when required to maintain service continuity.
